Physical Rehabilitation

Our Philosophy

Wouldn't it be nice if you could come into a medical establishment and have all your health needs taken care of?
To have that one Doctor (your primary care provider) who knows what you need, what to prevent and where to refer you?

At Revive we have two goals. One is to introduce the concept of primary care and the other is to practice and promote integrative medicine.

What is Primary Care?

A primary care practice serves as the patient's first point of entry into the health care system and as the continuing focal point for all needed health care services. Primary care practices provide patients with ready access to their own personal physician or to an established back-up physician when the primary physician is not available.

Primary care practices provide health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in a variety of health care settings. Primary care practices are organized to meet the needs of patients with undifferentiated problems, with the vast majority of patient concerns and needs being cared for in the primary care practice itself. The structure of the primary care practice may include a team of physicians and non-physician health professionals. Click Here to learn more about primary care practices.

What is a Primary Care Provider?

Your Primary Care Provider is your physician who provides you with primary care, who has access to all your health records and who provides you with the needed care at hand, recommendations and referral to other specialist when needed, think of your primary care provider as your personal doctor who is at your service around the clock whenever needed. Primary Care Physicians are usually internists (Internal Medicine Specialists) or family medicine specialists.

Why is it important to have a primary care provider?

Having one physician who knows everything about your medical history and health records is crucial in order to have the proper care and full control of your health, it prevents that feeling of being lost that many of us feel when faced with a health issue. Instead of taking less perfect decisions of a trip from one specialist to another with many and many unnecessary lab works and clinic visits, you will have your personal doctor who diagnose you, formulate a treatment strategy and a referral system when needed. This all happens with great supervision and corresponding reports between all practitioners involved in your health plan.

Why is integrative Medicine the practice of choice?

Integrative Medicine is Good Medicine. It is spending quality time with a patient to understand the underlying symptoms that lead to health problems which in turn improves the patients' health overall. Integrative Medicine can also helps patients with chronic problems to have a good quality of life. It approaches the disease with interventions rather than looking at it as a disability.

At Revive, we are responsible of patients' health on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. We seek to expose patients to a variety of integrative therapies through our team of specialists, physicians and non-physicians alike. We aim to bring patients in harmony with their bodies and make the best of any circumstance in which they are in. We aim to create a dynamic balance between the mind -body and spirit axis. We aim to help you create a better quality of life.

"A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease."

Dr. Heba Elnazer Medical Director

Dr. Heba Elnazer is the Founder, Medical Director and Practicing Physician; she obtained her medical degree from Ain Shams University where she also did her residency training. She completed her Masters degree in the field of Internal Medicine with a focus on Gastro-Intestinal and liver disease, also at Ain Shams University. Her final thesis was on Integrative Medicine in collaboration with a leading Integrative Medical Center in New York. She also did some mentoring at the same institute while completing her thesis. She is currently pursuing more postgraduate studies and research in the field of Integrative Medicine.

The dream of Revive began when Dr. Heba Elnazer was in medical school. Her passion for medicine and her discontent at some of its shortcomings drove her to search for a better solution. Through her education and internships Dr. Heba felt there was no real patient-doctor relationship. She felt that conventional medicine became a disease oriented system rather than a health oriented system. Her aspiration to get to know the patient on an individual level that goes beyond symptoms led away from conventional medicine and towards to Integrative Medicine practices.

When Dr. Heba came across Integrative Medicine as practiced in the United States she found that it is the optimum care for the patient. Her training with some of the greatest minds in Integrative Medicine untimely opened that door. This experience has enabled her to practice the art of combining conventional and scientifically proven alternative practices that are relative to each patient.

Mayssa also incorporates Chinese Nutrition, which works with the energetics of different foods, and with specific Qigong exercises to involve her patients in their healing process by encouraging lifestyle changes.

Traditional Chinese Medicine sees the body, mind and spirit, as integrally connected and therefore, each treatment keeps this in mind. In addition, Mayssa is trained in clinical aromatherapy and when appropriate will send her patients home with custom blends in addition to using them in the treatment, this is especially useful in pediatric care.
